Eldritch Pets
A downloadable game
You find a creature of nightmares that you can’t seem to destroy. You have heard stories about otherworldly beings who care not for the ways of mortals, but they weren’t supposed to be so cute!
Eldritch Pets is a solo journaling TTRPG based on the Second Guess System by Gamenomicon. It can also be played as a question/answer game with younger players. As you answer different questions about the little bundle of horror you have adopted, your pet's Corruption Tracker and your character's Sanity Level will go up and down the tracker. The former will decide if your creature of nightmares can be redeemed or will seek to destroy the world. The latter will decide if your character will want to redeem them or might find destroying the world a great bonding experience!
Created for the One-Page RPG Jam 2022, the back of the sheet provides options for different types of pets, and even ways to modify the game a bit by taking on a specific role.
A very special thank you to R. Boggs from Warped Board Games for the adorable artwork and to them and Angel from Beth and Angel Make Games both for collaborating with me on this.

Tried this with a class of third graders. It was fun!
I played Eldritch Pets with my family, and we had a blast! This game was a great combo of weird and fun, my kid loved answering questions for all the prompts, and the mechanics are easy to pick up and facilitate a fun game. 100% recommend!
